Traveling is one of our favorite things in life, hopefully as it is in yours. But we all know that no matter how much we plan, something unpredictable can always happen. Which is why although travel insurance is not required, S3 Adventures strongly recommends it. These trips are often planned long into the future, and to some very remote destinations, so having the security of an insurance policy can give you peace of mind while we wait for the trip to arrive.

Travel insurance is meant to help protect the investment you have made. It can be helpful should issues arise during your vacation like trip cancellation, flight delays or missed departures causing you to no-show, lost luggage, hotel issues, medical emergencies, etc. Travel insurance policies can also help you recoup your non-refundable deposits if you cannot make the trip for any reason.

Please note that if you want any pre-existing conditions included in your insurance coverage, you need to purchase a policy within 14 days of paying your deposit. So the best time to purchase a policy is as soon as possible!

Insurance is a very personal decision, and that’s why different types of policies and different types of coverages are available depending on your tolerance for risk. It is the personal responsibility of each traveler who desires an insurance policy to research and secure that policy ahead of any trip you take.
